These instructions are for installing AddShoppers using our module on PrestaShop v1.5+. If you're using PrestaShop v1.4 or lower, please follow these instructions.
How to Install Our Module
In your PrestaShop admin, go to Modules > Modules.
Our module is called "AddShoppers Social Sharing Buttons" -- Click the Install button next to our module.
How to Configure Our Module
Click the Configure link for our module.
If you don't already have an AddShoppers account, fill out the form at the top to create your free account. If you do already have an account, simply log in using the bottom form.
After you have connected your AddShoppers account with your PrestaShop, add sharing buttons to your product pages if you'd like by checking the "Standard Sharing Buttons" box. If you'd like to add Facebook Like, Want, and Own buttons, check the "Facebook Open Graph" box.
How to Add Custom Sharing Buttons
If you would like to use any sharing buttons other than the default buttons, first go to the Sharing Buttons page in your AddShoppers dashboard. Select your buttons and copy the code for them.
Now, open up the product.tpl file in your PrestaShop theme's folder (usually /themes/prestashop). Paste the button code where you want the buttons to appear.
How To Make AddShoppers Share The Correct Product URL
If you're not yet using PrestaShop's SEO-friendly URLs or canonical URLs on your product pages, configure PrestaShop to use Friendly URLs by following these 2 steps:
1. Go to Preferences > SEO & URLs in your PrestaShop admin.
2. Select 'Yes' for Friendly URL.
